Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Win Myint called on parliamentarians to serve the country and its people straightforwardly at a meeting in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region on June 25, 2016.
In his address, the speaker stressed the need to properly heal the sufferings of the people, suggesting that lawmakers abstain from too much enjoyment of their powers and privileges.
He emphasised the need to follow and respect Hluttaw laws, rules, regulations and existing laws by lawmakers, making a call to ensure that there is no legislative interference in the executive and judiciary branches.
The meeting was attended by Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and Region Hluttaw representative of Ayeyawady Region.
