Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Win Myint met with representatives in Mandalay at the Mandalay region hluttaw building on April 27, 2016.In his address, the Speaker called for honesty while working for the people and stressed the need of raising questions and submitting proposals and bills to parliament while focusing on the desires and needs of the people. he highlighted the importance of cooperation with authorities concerned while implementing developmental undertakings in order to achieve better success. Majority rules with minority rights is an important principle in democratic governance, said the Speaker. he called on regional representatives to stay away from corruption as the government is striving to transform society into an uncorrupt one and to work together with any parties and individuals to better ensure democracy. During the meeting the Speaker explained parliamentary procedures regarding the submission of bills and proposals for regional development tasks. Next, Speaker U Win Myint inspected the progress of the construction of the new Mandalay region hluttaw building in aungmyay Thasan Township.
