Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Pyithu Hluttaw Thura U Shwe Mann and party arrived at Yangon International Airport via Incheon International Airport of Republic of Korea in the Republic of Korea on 7 May evening.
On 6 May, the speaker and party were seen off by Myanmar Permanent Representative to the UN U Kyaw Tin and embassy staff at John F Kennedy Airport in New York.
While in New York, the speaker held talks with Myanmar-US Chamber of Commerce (New York) at its office. The speaker said that Myanmar is practising multi-party democracy and market economic system. He invited U.S. businessmen to invest in Myanmar for further strengthening friendly relations through economic cooperation between the two countries.
