The 12th- day meeting of the 14th regular session of the Second Pyithu Hluttaw was held at the Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall of the Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting Hluttaw approves the National Library bill after asterisk marked questions raised were answered. Later three annual reports were read.
Asterisk marked questions and answer
In the asterisk marked questions and answer session questions raised by U Paik Ko of Pakokku constituency on opening a sub primary school in Pakokku Township, Phaung Kwe Village Tract, Wah Kyun Twin Village; Daw Ni Shwe Hlwan of Thantlan constituency on plan to appoint ethnic Chin teachers in Chin State to teach ethnic languages; Daw Ni Ni May Myint of Taungup constituency on a plan to construct a school building in Taungup Township Kyaw Kaing Village Basic Education Middle School; U Shwe Ko of Kyaukpadaung constituency on a plan to up- grade Kyaukpadaung Township Lay Village Basic Education Sub High School to a high school and U Myat Lay Oo of Htilin constituency on plan to appoint six high school teachers required in Htilin Basic Education High School were answered by Deputy Minister for Education U Win Maw Tun.
A question raised by U Aung Soe of Yinmabin constituency on Alaungdaw Kathapa Pagoda trustee board’s collection and utilization of funds by financial year and plan to appoint a new trustee board was answered by Deputy Ministerfor Religious Affairs and Culture U Kyi Min.
Questions raised by U AungMyint Shein of Mabein constituency on the reason for the rejection of 44 applications from Mabein Township students to attend University for Development of National Races 5 years education degree course and UKyaw Htay of Leshi constituency on plan to distribute water to villages in Leshi Townshiwere answered by Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-GenThan Htut.
Hluttaw approves National Library Bill
Next, Bill Committee member U Wai Hlaing Tun submitted to the Hluttaw 32 amendments of the committee made to National Library bill submitted by Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker obtained the decision of the Hluttaw to approve the amendments after obtaining the comments of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
Later, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker obtained the comment of the Hluttaw to approve the entire National Library Bill. As there was no objection to it, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker made an announcement of Hluttaw approving the bill.
Three annual reports read and submitted to the Hluttaw
Following this Pyithu Hluttaw Education Promotion Committee annual report, Pyithu Hluttaw Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Social Development Committee annual report and Pyithu Hluttaw Economic and Financial Development Com-mittee annual report were read and submitted to the Hluttaw by committee member U Myint Ngwe, committee secretary U Maung Maung Oo and committee member U Zaw Win respectively. After each report was read and submitted, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the report to register their names.
The 13th – day meeting of the Second Pyithu Hluttaw’s regular session is
scheduled for 10 December.
