A 13th -day meeting of the eleventh regular session of Second Pyithu Hluttaw was held yesterday morning at Pyithu Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw where a
motion was accepted for discussion, questions raised were answered and a bill discussed.
Government urged to fulfill more requirements in constructing rural roads and bridges
U Zaw Min Thein of Laymyethna constituency first explained and tabled a motion urging the Union Government to fulfill more requirements when implementing rural road and bridge construction works.
As Hluttaw accepted to discuss the motion Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the motion to register their names.
Question and Answer session
In the question and answer session that follow, questions onupgrading and new construction of bridges and roads in their respective constituencies raised by U Kyaw Gyi @ U Ohn Khin of Minhla constituency, U Than Aung of Ngaputaw constituency, U Sein Aung of Paletwa constituency and U Aung Kyaw Zan of Pauktaw constituency were answered by Deputy Minister for Construction U Kyaw Lin.
Similarly questions on a discrepancy in a land situation described in ministry’s announcement and on ground status raised by U Oo Tun Win of Kyauktaw constituency and upgrade/repair of roads raised by U Zon Taint of Chipwe constituency and Dr. Sai Mauk Kham of Lashio constituency were answered by Deputy Minister for Defence Rear Admiral Myint Nwe and Deputy Minister for Construction U Kyaw Lin.
Discussion and decision on Occupational Safety and Health Bill
Finally the Occupational Safety and Health Bill returned by Amyotha Hluttaw with amendments were discussed and a motion was tabled for Pyidaungsu Hluttaw to discuss and decide on 43 disagreements on the bill between the two Hluttaws.
The 14th -day meeting of eleventh regular session of the Second Pyithu Hluttaw is scheduled for 18 February it is learnt.
