Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of NPC of China, discuss promoting bilateral cooperation

Speaker of  Pyithu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat received a delegation led by H.E Mr. Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, at the Zabuthiri Hall of the Hluttaw Building in  Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

At the meeting, Speaker U T Khun Myat said Myanmar would promote further cooperation in the bilateral strategic friendship relations through the paukphaw relations between the two countries.

He expressed thanks to China for its support to internal peace and national reconciliation in Myanmar.

U T Khun Myat said the signing of an MoU on building a China-Myanmar economic corridor would result in promoting the friendship and cooperation not only between the two governments but also the peoples of the two countries.

In his discussion, Mr. Ding Zhongli said China will cooperate in the legislation and in the science and technology Sectors which can underpin the peace and development in Myanmar.

The purpose of the visit by his delegation is aimed at promoting the relations between China and Myanmar and investment, he said.

Myanmar is rich in natural resources and has favorable climate for agriculture, he said, adding that as far as the trans portation between China and Myanmar is better, Myanmar’s economic development rate would rise in future, he added.

Afterwards, U T Khun Myat and Mr.Ding Zhongli posed for documentary photos together with attendees at the meeting.

of Hluttaw committees U Khin Maung Win, U Aung Min, U Zaw Thein, U Khun Maung Thaung, Dr. Tin Aung, Dr. San Shwe Win, U Yan Lin and U Tin Maung Win, Secretary U Bo Bo Oo and officials of the Pyithu Hluttaw Office, while Mr. Ding Zhongli was accompanied by the Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang.
