Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat received a delegation led by United Nations (UN) Secretary General’s Special Envoy to Myanmar Ms. Christine Schraner Burgener at the Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon. During the meeting, they exchanged views on cooperation between the UN and Myanmar, issues related to human rights, the Hluttaw’s participation in Myanmar’s transition process to democracy, internal peace processes and agendas for holding the Union Peace Conference–21st Century Panglong. Also present at the meeting were Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Tun Hein and other officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw.
