At the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Pyidaungsu and Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann paid an official visit to China on 25 April.
The speaker was accompanied by U Soe Tha, Thura U Aye Myint, U Thein Zaw and U T Khun Myat, all of whom are chairs of Pyithu Hluttaw’s committees.
He met Mr Hu Chunhua, Secretary of Guangdong Province’s CPC at the latter’s office on 25 April, and they exchanged views on promotion of bilateral cooperation in politics, business and technology, followed by a dinner hosted in honour of the Myanmar delegation led by Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann.
