Pyithu Hluttaw speaker Thura U Shwe Mann visited military-run hospital on 31 March, 2015 to comfort soldiers wounded in Laukkai conflicts which began in February this year.
The speaker acknowledged outstanding bravery of these soldiers in protecting and safeguarding of sovereignty of Myanmar.
U Soe Win, Vice-chairman of National Democratic Force, and U Win Ko, Vice-chairman of Pa-O National League, congratulated the soldiers.
The speaker, the vice-speaker, chairmen of committees, member of parliaments, representatives of ethnic parties and defence services and military officers also provided the wounded soldiers and their family members with cash and kind.
