Speaker of Pyudaungsu Hluttaw and Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) Thura U Shwe Mann left Yangon by air on 4 October evening to attend the 8th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP8) Meeting to be held in Rome of Italy and arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok of Thailand at 9.40 pm local time.
The Speaker arrived at Fiumicino International Airport in Rome of Italy at 6.50 am local time. The Speaker was accompanied by Pyithu Hluttaw International Relations Committee Chairman U Hla Myint Oo, Pyithu Hluttaw Investment and Industrial Development Committee Chairman U Htay Myint, Pyithu Hluttaw Public Accounts Committee member Dr Win Myint and officials of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Office and Pyithu Hluttaw Office.
Thura U Shwe Mann and party were welcomed at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador to Italy U Myint Naung and embassy families.
